Langoustines freshly caught - SeafoodFrom our newest catch razor fish roasted to perfection, to creamy garlic scallops. Curried lobster tails, to langoustines served with chilli, garlic and pepper. There are really interesting and different ways to serve up your fish dish.

Seafood has been enjoyed by humans since way before written history. We know this from early cave drawings. Humans used bird beaks and spears carved with wood and stone to fish back then. Luckily we have much more efficient methods these days!

Scallops lined up along the seabedPeople in countries all over the world fish in dozens of different ways in modern times. Sustainability is a concern in todays fishing community. The sustainable seafood movement began in the1990s. This is when sustainable fishing was first promoted.

Sustainable seafood, is seafood that is either caught or farmed in ways that consider the long-term vitality of harvested species, the well-being of the oceans and the livelihoods of fisheries-dependent communities.

Besides being super tasty, eating fish and shellfish has major health benefits! So buy, cook, eat and enjoy seafood all this October and make Fish the Dish!

Cultivated Speciality Mushrooms are simply unmodified wild strains that have been successfully cultivated on wood chip or straw.

Using waste products and no chemical inputs makes this is a very sustainable process.

The leaders in this field are the Chinese and South Korean growers. They have hundreds of years of legacy of growing mushrooms, especially shiitake, and the number of varieties is growing all the time.

European growers are catching up and many cultivated varieties now also come from the EU.

These are available all year round and you can expect consistent high quality, no waste and excellent shelf life…up to 2 weeks in fridge.

The sheer range of sizes, shapes, textures and colours have caught the imagination of innovative UK chefs and these types of mushrooms are seen on all types of menus.

Mushrooms are high in protein and fibre and are a healthy clean, choice of non-meat alternatives, that give that big umami hit.

From our fresh, high quality stock we make mixes to order for next day delivery by our chilled truck (or courier for outside London).

We use at least five varieties giving a range of sizes, flavours and textures.

Our chef customers tell us:

They do not like mushrooms wrapped in plastic (they sweat and degrade) so ours are dressed in greaseproof paper.

They do not like enoki mushrooms in mixes so no enoki.

They do not want chestnut mushrooms in mixes so no chestnuts.

What you do get is great shelf life and no waste – and a very competitive and stable price.
